Carolina babies... sweeter than the tea

There's not much I love more than a glass of sweet tea, but here's one thing for sure:

She truly is sweet.  Great report from the pediatrician yesterday; Clara gained nine ounces this week and is now weighing in at 11 pounds, 12 ounces.  We're replacing her first nighttime gavage with breastfeeding and beginning the process of weaning that NG tube.  Tomorrow's appointment is with the developmental pediatrician who is an eating expert.  We'll see what she has to say about our progress.

  4. These pictures make me so happy! You don't know me, but I have been praying for your little girl from the beginning and asked God to show us a miracle by making her well. I really was in need of seeing God show his power and now every time I look at a picture of your beautiful baby girl, I am reminded of the Miracle He has shown us.

I am so happy for you and your family. And to see the JOY in Clara's little face instead of PAIN.

May God continue to bless you with Clara's total healing and perfect health. Thank you for sharing her with us.

Hurray for Clara -- learning how to eat,
Just like southern tea, she sure is sweet.

Considering her lineage, it's not a big reach,
To call dear Clara a sweet Georgia Peach.

You can liken her to a peach or even to tea --
Either way you do it, Clara's the girl for me!

We continue to pray and to thank God, too --
For answering prayers & making dreams come true!

Praise Father, Son and Holy Ghost --
For Clara Mae, whom we love the MOST!
