  4. I could not be happier for all of you! Clara will make a wonderful big sister, or "little momma" as shown in these beautiful pictures. She looks so mature in the second shot - not a baby any longer. Blessings to all of you. I hope you will allow us to journey with you to welcome this new blessing into your lives.

"I was wondering if you had any insight/experience/advice related to sudden severe vomiting. We have an almost three year old LCDH who is very typical and healthy in almost every way. This is the second "episode" we have had like this and the ER docs are of course not willing to really be the ones to craft a long term plan. Her vomiting comes on super fast and severe and she quickly empties her ent...ire stomach contents and then the vomit starts turning green (bile). She becomes quickly dehydrated. She has also recovered quickly each time once she gets fluids (and last night zofran to stop the vomiting). They do not think it is viral/infection and don't know what's triggering it. However, they seemed to suggest that if it happens again we should return to the ER in order to do all the x-rays and bloodwork and eliminate anything serious/surgical. My question was can I just give her zofran at home to stop it and then try to rehydrate without iv fluids, but they said they were afraid of prescribing zofran on an as needed basis in case it masks something more serious. I will see her regular pediatrician today to try to figure out next steps, but of course no one is a CDH expert like we are, all I want to go armed with as much info as possible. Anybody have any theories on either cause or next steps? Oh, all labs and X-rays have come back fine each time. No bowel obstruction or reherniation. ~Chrissy Davis Hardy.".
I read this on the Raising Healthy CDH Children Facebook page. Correct me if I am wrong. But isn't your name Chrissy Davis Hardy? If so, I am praying. If not, delete this comment!! ;)
