During my sweet friend Susie's spring break, we met in Salisbury for a day at Dan Nicholas Park. This has been on my list for a long time for an outing for Clara, so I was so excited to make it happen and also to have a great excuse to hang out with Susie and Rebekah. I hadn't been to Dan Nicholas since I last took a group of kindergartners there on a field trip and I have to say, it was a lot more fun with just my own kiddo. We rode the train, rode the carousel, visited the animals, went gem mining, had a picnic lunch and played on the playgrounds -- all for CHEAP! We will definitely be back again. Here are some shots of the fun day we had!
How can you resist the matching braided pigtails and jean jackets? You cannot.
Clara loved the train ride!
And the carousel.
The girls checking out their eagle wingspans. Not quiiiiiiiite there yet!
Petting zoo. Where you couldn't quite pet the animals, because...
Of this:
Strange petting zoo, huh?! Guess we'll stick to petting the ceramic animals instead.
Off to gem mining!
Susie, thanks for such a FUN day!! I can't believe that we're going to have another set of sweet girls, six months apart, to watch play and grow together too. We're so thankful for your friendship!

Sci Works, MaryTime Music and Everyday Fun
This spring has been full of many many playdates, lots of fun trips to SciWorks and other museums, visits to the park, picnics with friends, visits to the library and weekly music classes with MaryTime Music (anyone local, if you're looking for an awesome music class for toddlers/preschoolers, I strongly recommend MaryTime!) Here are a few photos of our "everyday" fun.
Boy, it feels good to be socializing among friends again!
