It was bittersweet to say goodbye to Clara's teachers and school friends after a wonderful first year of school. She has been blessed with such amazing teachers who have put up with all of her spirited energy with love and patience. I have known this year that when I send her off to school that she is loved and cared for as much as she could be. I couldn't have wished for anything better for her first experience of school. We will miss Ms. Anissa and Ms. Bri (and the structure and routine of the school year!) this summer, but will look forward to seeing them again in the fall when school starts back up again.
The weather couldn't have been better for their outdoor celebration of a fun-filled year. Here are a few of the photos I got of her playing with her classmates, enjoying a special snack together and getting her final hugs before summer vacation.

And today on battles-I-didn't-fight, it was wearing this dress from last summer that Clara INSISTED she wanted to wear for the last day of school. It was like she just wanted to prove how much she's grown in a year. We got it, Clara. Way too short.
