Georgia On Our Minds

The last weekend in April we made a trip down to Georgia to visit Mama K, Daddy Bob, Mema, Papa, Aunt Liz, Uncle Hugh and Cousin Eleanor.  It was a great (way too fast!) weekend!  It was the first time that Clara and Eleanor really PLAYED together and interacted and they were so so sweet.  It was a great glimpse into what it will be like for them to grow up together.  I never had the joy of a girl cousin (or sister), so I'm excited that these girls will have each other in all the years ahead.  It will be really special to watch their relationship grow and develop.  So, here are some long overdue photos from our weekend together!

First on our way down to Georgia, we met up with our friends the Lindseys in Spartanburg for a quick dinner.  It was great to see them!!

And once we got to Elberton, the snuggles and fun all began.  Is this man happy or what?

This was not staged!  Eleanor was so sweet giving Clara hugs....

And sharing toys....

And here are a few Sunday afternoon shots with the girls still in their dresses....

The girls giving Mama K some sweet hugs....

Look at these CURLS!!!  I think this time next year, Clara's head will look a lot like this....

 Such a sweet little niece...

Mema took a stroll with the girls through the pasture.... I know that these are shots we will always treasure.

And Mema showed Eleanor how to pick clover flowers to make a pretty necklace....

Daddy Bob was so patient with the baby who only wants to climb up and down stairs all day long.

Thank you, Brattons and Hardys for such a wonderful weekend!  Can't wait till we're all together again!

  1. Nothing beats sweet family time. Clara is so lucky to have so many wonderful folks ready to love her and help her grow into the best she can be. Thanks for sharing the precious moments.
