Happy St. Patrick's Day!

St. Patrick's Day is officially Clara's last first holiday.   I saw a cute Easter outfit at Target recently and thought about getting it for Clara's first Easter, before I realized.... this will be her second Easter!  Her first Easter was spent in the NICU.  How far we've come this year.

TWO years ago on St. Patrick's Day we were planning our anniversary trip to Ireland  (Clara came back with us from that trip).  ONE year ago on St. Patrick's Day we were preparing for her birth and not knowing what might be ahead.  So, thankful to have been able to celebrate this St. Patrick's Day with our very own little Irish blessing.

Standing all on her own, and sniffing a clover....

And then there's this face which she's  making all the time recently.  I love it.

Hope you all had a wonderful St. Patrick's Day!  This Irish prayer/blessing seems so appropriate for our sweet Clara:

May God give you...
For every storm, a rainbow,
For every tear a smile,
For every care a promise,
And a blessing in each trial.
For every problem life sends,
A faithful friend to share,
For every sigh, a sweet song,
And an answer for each prayer.

    1. It does.... I thought the first one was a little too big and looked ridiculous so I went back to our tiny bows. Hahahhaha.... some day she'll have enough hair for a giant southern-style bow!

  2. Sweet Baby Clara! It has been such a joy to follow your blog through this last year, and to see the pictures of her so happy and glowing. Thank you for sharing your faith in our Great God and Creator.
