Songs for Clara

Music has always been important to me. I spent a lot of time putting together a playlist for Clara's arrival. Every single song on here is so special lyrically and musically. I've put the playlist together online for you to stream if you like. Enjoy these Songs for Clara.

  3. I love music, too! I listened and loved them. I was thinking what an inspiration Clara has been. It made me think of "You're the Inspiration" by Chicago. Clara will love them, too:)

  4. Robert and Chrissy,
I am aunt Lisa's prayer partner... her heart is full of compassion for you and prayers on your behalf. I am honored to join your sweet prayer team. It sounds like you are trusting God for your strength - you are so right. He's all we've got. So I pray for you and little Clara. Thank you for keeping your posts updated! Be strong and courageous...the Lord your God is with you. :)

  5. You don't know me, but I've read your blog ever since a mutual friend shared it with me. I teach music where Chrissy's mother used to teach, and I wanted to let you know that the very first thought in my head after I opened my eyes this morning was "I wonder if you all sing to Clara?" It seemed to hit me out of nowhere, so you can imagine how shocked I was when I read your latest blog - "Music!" Music is a powerful thing, sometimes the most effective therapy of all!

All of you are in my THOUGHTS AND PRAYERS!

  6. We are so moved by your blog posts...your expression of faith and love is truly inspiring. I wish you could've heard the sweet little voices that I overheard last night. Evan and Isaac prayed simply "please God make Mrs. Hardy's baby all better so she can come home". We will continue to pray for each of you throughout your journey.
Thank you for sharing your story and photos of your amazing and beautiful baby girl. The strongest woman I've ever known in my life was also a Clara - my grandmother. So little Clara Hardy must be one tenacious baby girl!
Sending you love and prayers, Tamara, Kent, Evan & Isaac Parker

  8. Praying, praying, praying! 2:00 ( when Oliver is napping) has been a special time of prayer for me over the past couple of months and I am humbled and strengthened as I pray for Clara and ya'll. Thank you for the posts and for the specific prayer needs. Praise God for His undercurrent of peace during this roller coaster ride. (I included the time bc I have found it encouraging in the past to know, "now, someone is praying for me"). Love and prayers for Clara, she is so beautiful!

  9. Saw this blog on face book. My daughter was in Suzie Kurstins class. Almost 5 years ago we were on the same rollercoaster! Ryan did not have to have ecmo but was rushed to surgery at 3 days old. Now I am getting ready to register him for kindergarten! God is good! Your family is in my prayers & my heart goes out to you! Becky S.

  10. Sooooo glad you wrote this. I went to school for music therapy, so when Jaime was in the NICU it was extremely important to me to meet with the music therapist. My husband is a band teacher and he brought his horns and made a CD for Jaime...and he read on it, too. We played it every single day! Music has healing powers for sure! Please play music for Clara...and for yourselves! If they have a music therapist, meet with them...you'll be glad you did!
Continuing to keep you all in our thoughts and prayers!
